Winter Getaway: Whistler, BC

whistler-1

This past weekend my husband and I went up to Whistler to check out the Scandinave Spa that I’ve heard so many good things about. Both of us had never been before and we were in need of a little relaxation. We drove up on Saturday morning and arrived just before the doors opened at 10am. It was such a fantastic and relaxing experience! The Scandinave Spa has a variety of hot and cold pools, a eucalyptus steam room and a “no talking” policy which made my experience that much more peaceful and chill.

Things to Do

Scandinave Spa was so beautiful and relaxing and reminds me of Harrison Hot Springs in Harrison, BC. Even though it’s still winter up in Whistler with cold temperatures and snow, the spa was such a gorgeous and peaceful mini retreat.

After Scandinave, we headed into Whistler Village for lunch and to wander around. Two places that I have to stop at when I’m in Whistler are Pure Bread, which is an amazing bakery with the most delicious baked goods and Cows, my favourite place for ice cream! That’s right, two dessert places :). Pure Bread also has a location on West Hastings Street in Vancouver.

It was a perfect little getaway from Vancouver for the day and I highly recommend checking out the Scandinave Spa during your next trip to Whistler! I’m planning more trips to Whistler this summer, along with a few hikes in and around the area that I’ll be doing. Keep an eye out for those posts! Thank you so much for reading! See you in my next post! xoxo Candice
