Where to Eat in NYC

I’m a city girl at heart and an absolute foodie, so I was in heaven during my trip NYC. New York City has some of the best American food I’ve come across, especially the pizza (and who doesn’t love pizza?!) Major research and planning went into these restaurant choices because eating well on vacation is a top priority for me. {A little disclaimer – the photos in this post aren’t up to my usual quality. At the time they were taken, I hadn’t yet started my blog (I only started 3 weeks ago!) so the photos are more casual}.

Pete’s Pizza

NYC is well known for it’s pizza so when visiting the Big Apple, eating pizza at some point is a must. There are plenty of great pizzerias around and if you’re looking for a no frills, casual lunch spot, may I suggest Pete’s Pizza on the Upper West Side. It’s a simple pizza place that serves classic and delicious pizza.

Tony’s Di Napoli

Located Mid-Town, Tony’s Di Napoli is Italian comfort food at it’s finest and I can’t think of any cuisine that feels more like “classic NYC” (other than pizza!). This is one of my favourite spots for dinner and they serve huge portions that are perfect for sharing.

Bar American

Another excellent dinner option and a bit more on the fancy side. Bar American is a steakhouse owned by Chef Bobby Flay, known from his many television shows on the Food Network. We had an excellent dining experience here from the food itself to the customer service to the overall vibe/atmosphere of the restaurant. Bar American is a restaurant worth checking out.

The Nomad Bar

This is a fantastic spot for after dinner drinks. The Nomad Bar has a cool atmosphere and an amazing cocktail list. The entrance was kind of hard to find though; it’s separate from the Nomad Hotel.

Big Gay Ice Cream Shop

A small ice cream shop with big flavors. Big Gay Ice Cream Shop has a few locations throughout NYC, along with an ice cream truck that parks alongside various streets in the city.

Thank you so much for reading! I have several trips on the horizon for 2017 (including Europe, yay!) and I can’t wait to share them with you! xoxo Candice
