Road trip anyone? Jasper, Alberta is about an 8 hour, mostly scenic drive from Vancouver, BC. Home to Jasper National Park, which has some of the most spectacular scenic views in Canada and native wildlife galore. You’re almost guaranteed to have some wildlife sightings during your trip!
Our adventure to Jasper last July was one of the most memorable trips because of those scenic views. I’ll be heading back again this summer for a multi-day hike and I can’t wait!
If you’re planning a visit, here’s a list of my must see spots to check out! Note for 2017: In celebration of Canada’s 150th anniversary, admission to all of Canada’s national parks is free! You can learn more about how to get your discovery pass here.
1. Pyramid Island
2. Patricia Lake
3. Maligne Canyon
4. Maligne Lake
Unfortunately when we went the weather wasn’t the greatest so neither were the views. All the more reason to go back!
5. Athabaska Falls
6. Miette Hot Springs
7. Mt. Edith Cavell, Cavell Glacier
